Church's history can be traced back to 1617, when shoe master Anthony Church handcrafted shoes in Northampton, England. The town has been known for producing high-quality shoes since the Middle Ages. His descendants closely followed suit and founded Church&Co. in 1873. Church is still manufacturing products in Northampton, and its 62 directly owned and operated retail stores are now spread worldwide, with businesses in London, Paris, Edinburgh, Milan, Berlin, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, and Beijing.
