TACA (Central American Airlines Group) was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in San Salvador, El Salvador. San Jose, Costa Rica, and Lima, Peru are all flight bases for Central American Airlines. It was formed by the merger of five Central American airlines, becoming the third largest airline in the Latin American region. Its flights have now been opened to over 40 regions and cities in over 19 countries in the Americas. TACA COM is the fastest-growing website in the tourism industry in Latin America.
