Peapod was founded in 1989 by the brothers Andrew and Thomas Parkinson. It has evolved from a small family store to a leading online internet grocery store serving Chicago, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Peapod sells over 12000 products: agricultural products, meat and seafood, cooked food, frozen food, hot organic food, Jewish food, office and school supplies, seasonal and video products, pet products, health and beauty products, wine, beer, and spirits.
