In November 2017, OYO Hotel entered the Chinese market and opened its first store in Shenzhen. In June 2019, OYO, which focuses on economy and fast hotels, released a strategic upgrade plan and announced that as of the end of May, OYO has over 10000 hotels and 500000 rooms nationwide, making it one of the largest single brand hotels in China. OYO Hotels has become the third largest chain of hotels in the world, as well as the fastest-growing hotel, residential, and living space chain brand.
