Burberry, formerly known as Burberry, is a British national treasure brand founded by Thomas Burberry, a young British man who was only 21 years old at the time. For over 100 years, Burberry has become the most representative brand of British temperament. Burberry initially only provided outdoor and military clothing. In 1880, Thomas Burberry invented a waterproof and breathable fabric called "Gabardine" and obtained a patent in 1888 to design and manufacture raincoats for British officers at the time. Emperor Edward VII later ordered Burberry's patented raincoat as one of the British military uniforms. In 1911, Burberry rose to fame by providing travel clothing to Ronald Amuden, the first traveler to conquer Antarctica.
